Grant to “Opheltes – the friend of Nemea” for infrastructure works for the protection of the archaeological site and the Museum of Nemea.
OPHELTES is a non-profit organisation founded to help in the promotion of the cultural heritage of the archaeological site at Nemea. The aim of Opheltes is the partial reconstruction of the Temple of Nemean Zeus and the revival of the Nemean Games in their original form, while its vision is to promote the archaeological region of Nemea so that it is nationally and internationally recognised as a quality destination for visitors with cultural interests.
Its main objectives include the partial reconstruction of the Temple of Nemean Zeus and the revival of the Nemean Games in their original form and their connection to the region’s development as a tourist destination.
