The members of the Board of the P & A Canellopoulos Foundation stand in admiration and respect before the ideas and the work of Paul Canellopoulos, who managed to preserve thousands of artefacts of ancient Greek and Byzantine art and donate them to his country. The huge model-collection of Paul Canellopoulos, the world’s richest private collection of Greek art, is on show at the Museum that bears his name and that of his life partner, Alexandra Canellopoulos, at the NW foot of the Sacred Rock of the Athens Acropolis.
The Chair and the members of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees continue to build on the work that Paul Canellopoulos pursued with the unstinting contribution of Alexandra Canellopoulos: a work that touches on the country’s cultural, educational and social life; a work which is continued in the spirit of the Foundation’s founders.
