The charitable foundation AURORA with the aim of supporting patients with haematological diseases – especially those who have undergone bone marrow transplant procedure – as well as supporting hospitals and research in the field of haematological cancer treatment, with the ultimate goal of making leukaemia and other haematological diseases 100% curable, has requested the Foundation’s support for the Molecular Biology Laboratory of the Haematology Clinic-Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit of the “Evangelismos” General Hospital, with the purchase of a genetic analyser to replace the existing one which was obsolete.
The members of the Board, expressing their appreciation for the work of AURORA in the field of healthcare, as well as the work of the General Hospital “The Evangelismos”, unanimously decided that the Foundation will donate to the General Hospital “The Evangelismos” a genetic analyzer worth approximately 140.000 € plus VAT to cover the above needs.
