Grant to Cerebral Palsy Greece / Open Door for the construction and outfitting of an Assisted Living Home for adults with severe disabilities.
Cerebral Palsy Greece / Open Door, founded in 1972, has unfailingly offered its invaluable services in the field of social care, offering daily education and rehabilitation to more than 240 children, adolescents and adults with cerebral palsy, while contributing to the removal of prejudices regarding people with disabilities and to the promotion of broader scientific knowledge on disability issues. The members of the Board of Directors of the Foundation responded to the request of the President of the Society for the partial financing of the construction and outfitting of the Assisted Living Home’s 520 sq.m., which will house nine adults with severe disabilities and support staff, by approving a grant of 100,000 euros. The Board expressed its respect for the Society’s public benefit work, which is in line with the Foundation’s goals of supporting and alleviating the financially disadvantaged.
