TITAN and the Paul and Alexandra Canellopoulos Foundation make a joint contribution to the rehabilitating effort for areas in Dervenochoria and Thessaly, committing €3,000,000 in immediate and long-term actions.

Specifically, TITAN and the Foundation have taken the initiative and, in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment & Energy, are named Rehabilitation Contractors in a specific area of Dervenochoria, financing the relevant studies as well as the immediate execution of anti-corrosion works. The objective is to address soil erosion and protection from flooding that will allow the natural revitalization and regeneration of the area.

A similar initiative is planned for Thessaly, with a contribution to SEV’s (Hellenic Federation of Enterprises) action plan for high priority rehabilitation projects in the area, such as the reconstruction of 27 schools, in consultation with the State.

These initiatives follow the prevention and rehabilitation plan of €1 million, implemented by the Paul and Alexandra Canellopoulos Foundation and TITAN in the aftermath of the wildfires that affected the country in 2021.

As climate change makes imperative the need to shield our country against the increasingly frequent occurrence of catastrophic natural phenomena, TITAN and the Paul and Alexandra Canellopoulos Foundation are committed to be present in the national effort.
